It’s official: Bangkok to host Formula One Race in 2015

A Formula One race on the streets of Bangkok is finally a reality, as F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone has announced that the 2015 Grand Prix calendar will include a race in the Thai capital. Speculation about a race in Bangkok has been growing for months. In October, governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand Kanokphand Chulakasem reportedly  said that Bangkok would host a race in 2014 – but head honcho Ecclestone said in the announcement that Thai motor fans will have to wait one more year. “They say 2014 and I say 2015. It is serious and it is good,” Ecclestone said, according to the Wall Street Journal
